  • I think homosexuals have a right to be married. I think it is a civil rights issue. That is my belief. I am not going to shop at a store that supports any political campaign with financial contributions; no matter the side; Democrat or Republican.

  • I have shopped at Target for over 20 years; I buy groceries, household cleaners, household items, gifts, cards, etc. I love their products. However, I will no longer shop at Target while they contribute, as a corporation, to political campaigns.

  • Certainly there is a personal responsibility factor; however, that is extremely difficult to measure. Americans are bombarded with advertisments aimed at instant gratification; fast food, sweets, alcohol, anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, sexual pleasure; the list is endless.

  • Isn't the church also against birth control; condoms, the pill, because that is preventing a life from developing, another form of murder, just a few steps away from an abortion, but in principle the same? So, maybe Notre Dame or any other Catholic Universities need scrutinize their speakers more …

  • Exactly. Who is turning the commencement into a debate and discussion? Not Obama. He just accepted the invitation; I doubt he will speak about abortion rights.
